Structure: BG Controls has a structure ensuring each business module has
defined, customer facing objectives. The organisation is clear to suppliers,
staff and customers. Each business module (Integrated Projects, Central
Projects, Systems Support, Central Projects, Electrical Installations and
Automated Systems) is run as an independent P&L and managed by a board director.
Consistency: We strive for consistency at both pre and post sale stage of a
project. We strive for consistency across all our staff, across all our
divisions and over time. We achieve this through a focus on process and
standardisation, not on individual heroism and “winging it”.
Measurement: In God we trust, everyone else has to bring facts and data. To
achieve consistency, we measure financial and non-financial key performance
indicators. It is tough to manage an operation without measurement. It is tough
to prove consistency and improvement without measurement.
Transparency: BG Controls is committed to being an “Open Systems Integrator”.
This is not just for technical solutions, but also incorporating an open
corporate philosophy. Our structure, consistency and measurement is
communicated, formally and informally to all stakeholders; staff and customers
alike.
