Over the years, the growth of BG Controls has remained structured and measured.
The group operates a series of clearly defined modules, which are self managed with measured objectives.
We decided not to create faceless empires, moreover, a series of business modules following
a proven customer ethos and business template. We follow a successful template which we reproduce as we grow.
We strive for consistency across our customers, across our staff, now, and in the future.
1995: BG Controls was founded by Duncan Biggins and Steve Gunn.
1997: BG Controls expands into its first premises. Following subsequent growth, BG Controls expanded further, taking over adjacent offices in the building.
1998: The service and bureau operation was created to initially serve a major cinema chain. Cinema clients choose BG Controls for their proactive approach to improving their facilities and reducing the energy bills across UK sites.
1999: The first motor control panel workshop opened.
2002: BG Controls completed its first open protocol systems project using the LON technology and now includes BACnet in its portfolio.
2003: Due to the additional workload, a new Motor Control Panel Workshop was opened in Sheffield.
2005: BG Controls acquired an electrical contractor. This enabled the group to control the quality of this critical stage in any controls installation and offer a one stop shop to their clients.
2007: BG Controls move to new, custom-built premises with visitor facilities and integrated workshop.
2008: Two new main board directors are appointed along with the creation of the Central Systems Projects Division and the Systems Support Division.
2008: New Belfast office opened.
2009: New Midlands, South East and North West offices opened.
